You may or may not already know this, but your WordPress and many of its themes and plugins need to perform periodic tasks such as internal checks, optimization, backup, updates…

This is managed by WordPress with the file wp-cron.php. By default, WordPress performs these periodic tasks every time someone visits your site and that is not optimal for your site’s performance. Additionally, if you don’t have visitors, those scheduled tasks are never executed. For these reasons, in Titibate we have this feature disabled, and we automatically run that cron daily.
